CROP LOAN

The economy of Banaskantha district is mainly based on agriculture. The farmers of the district are in financial need to carry out daily farming activities. To meet this need, Banas Bank, through Kisan Credit Card facility, gives credit at regular interest rate of 0% to about 30,000 farmers in the district. Banas Bank has covered more than 40% of the farmers in the district under this agricultural credit scheme.

Animal Husbandry

With the good governance of Asia's largest Banas Dairy, the livestock business in the district is taking on new dimensions of progress with the farming business.

Due to lack of storage capacity of agricultural produce, farmers had to incur economic losses by selling their produce at cheaper prices. Farmers are being provided financial assistance with the help of government to build new godowns to increase the storage capacity of agricultural produce so that they do not suffer loss.

Land Development

Considering the geographical situation of Banaskantha district, Banasbank is providing financial facility to the farmers for land improvement with the objective of making the land more cultivable as it has high and low slopes and sandy so that it can be cultivated.

Irrigation

Banas Bank is providing advance credit to farmers for drip, sprinkler and underground pipelines and borewells to save water, stop weeding, reduce soil wastage and make the soil fertile.

Allied Activities

Banas Bank is providing advance credit to farmers to buy modern farming resources such as tractors, threshers, green house and other farming equipment.
